This is a picture I've been working on for a while (during the period in which I also had to work on an important assignment...) And I'm really happy with the result! I love working with underwater pictures, because it's so challenging but fun!! :D It's not perfect, because I'm still an amature when it comes to underwater pictures, but I don't care! It looks more real than the last underwater picture I did, so I'm happy~

I've never really been that fascinated with mermaids, and so this is my first time drawing one. I had much fun drawing this mystical creature, though~ :3 (And since she looked so lonely, I drew her a friend.)

I'd really love some feedback on this! (as usual...) Faves are nice, but comments are so much more inspirational and wonderful! :D

Amazing lights, especially on her... um... tail(?). I've always loved mermaids (since early childhood) and yours is really pretty one. Colours of her hair and ...tail (? ...really, how should I name that?) are exactly like underwater creatures have or should have. And those etherial stuffs are cute :meow:

Those... those... Argh! I have no idea how to call that again! :x Hmm... Silky-like stuff next to her waist, elbows and fin.

You're welcome :D I really enjoy this art so much :heart: It's not so easy to find a really beautiful mermaid art... Usually they're just women with tits and tail fins without magical atmosphere. And thank you too, for helping me with english names :hug:

Oh, those. I have no idea what to call them either, it was just something I added because I felt like something was missing somehow :3

Yeah, it seems to me that a lot of the mermaid-art portrays the creatures as being sexy, alluring women whose looks are only supposed to trick humans into falling in love with them. I wasn't going for that kind of sexual feel, I wanted to show a creature longing for something she cannot reach, a magical, beautiful, but somewhat sad creature... ^^; Don't know if I succeeded or not, but I'm pretty happy with it anyways ^^
